Screenathon We’ll screen members of Glefe, a slum community for diabetes, hypertension, breast cancer and obesity. And then we’ll educate them on how they can improve their health and practice preventive health, and counsel them on the resources available to them. We’ll diagnose and treat patients who are sick that day. And have a lot of fun in the process. And all of this for free! BarCamp Ghana Barcamp brings together about 600 attendees, building a network of Ghanaian change makers, doers, and entrepreneurs. Through this event, we seek to highlight the importance of appropriate partnerships and corporate engagements in ensuring the success of projects, spurring wealth creation and economic growth. The Playbook The Playbook is a sporting event aimed to unite and connect. The common love for football in Ghana serves a major recreational and unifying purpose. Playbook takes its inspiration from this phenomenon as a means to create an enabling environment to form networks between Ghanaians based in Ghana and those all over the world, as well as with foreign nationals who have interests in Ghana. The event will feature a five-a-side soccer tournament, a fashion market and stands to display the work of young local and foreign-based Ghanaians. The soccer tournament will pit Ghanaians living in different parts of the world against each other. Re-connect 2011 This networking event will serve as a two-way exchange that will foster the development of Ghanaians seeking opportunities for career and academic growth locally and internationally. Project Drive-By Organized by feedForever (fF) and LifeStylzGH (LSG), the aim of this initiative is to drive by some less fortunate areas in Accra providing needy children with a meal and fun-filled activities such as dancing competitions, musical chairs, soccer and Q&A, to name a few.
